Pasquale Tridico is an Italian Member of the European Parliament, Chair of the FISC Subcommittee, and serving as the head of the Movimento Cinque Stelle delegation. In the European Parliament, he serves on the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, the Subcommittee on Tax Matters, the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Committee on Transport and Tourism. He is also a member of the Parliament's Delegation for relations with the United Stated and the Delegation the OACPS-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the Delegation to the Caribbean-EU Parliamentary Assembly.
Pasquale is an economist and a full professor of Economic Policy at Roma Tre University, within the Department of Economics. He also serves as the Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Labour, Welfare, and Social Rights. He served as an economic advisor to the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies from June 2018 to February 2019. Tridico has authored over 100 articles, books, and edited volumes on topics such as the labor market, inequality, institutional economics, human development, varieties of capitalism, financial crises, and Europe. From 2019 to 2023, Pasquale Tridico served as president of the National Institute for Social Security.
