Commission launches public consultation on BEFIT, a new framework for EU corporate taxation

The European Commission has published a public consultation on Business in Europe: Framework for Income Taxation (BEFIT), a new, comprehensive solution for business taxation in the EU.

This initiative aims to introduce a single corporate tax rulebook for the EU, providing for fairer allocation of taxing rights between Member States. It also plans to reduce compliance costs and create a coherent approach to business taxation throughout the EU. 

Stakeholders are invited to provide input by the 5 January 2023 deadline. More information is available here.
