Kira Marie Peter-Hansen is elected for the European Parliament. As the Vice President of the Greens/EFA group, she is fighting for a greener, fairer and a more socially inclusive Europe.
As the Greens/EFA Coordinator and Vice-chair of the Subcommittee on Tax Matters, she is working towards closing loopholes in EU tax systems. By pushing initiatives that aim to minimize the billions of euros lost every year to aggressive tax planning, she is a strong voice in the fight for tax justice.
Kira is also a dedicated member of ECON, the Committee of Economic and Monetary Affairs. Here she is negotiating the revision of the EU rules on anti-money laundering on behalf of the Greens/EFA. The key priorities are to strengthen the rules and enhance transparency measures. In the coming months Kira is dedicated to work on the proposals on Transfer Pricing and will be shadowing the file on BEFIT.
