Isabel Benjumea is a Spanish MEP from the EPP group since 2019. She is vice-president of the Regional Development Commission and member of the Economy and Monetary Affairs (ECON), Culture (CULT) and Fiscal Affairs (FISC) committee. In addition, she is the secretary of European funds for the Popular Party in Spain.
After completing her studies in Law and International Relations, she worked as a consultant for the World Bank in Washington for the implementation of transparency and accountability programs for Latin American governments. Founder of numerous startups, she is very knowledgeable about the business world, combining her political life with her business life.
Due to her great commitment to the FISC commission, she is Parliament's current rapporteur on the report "Further reform of corporate taxation rules".
