KIRCHLER Erico

Erich Kirchler graduated in psychology and human anthropology at the University of Vienna, Austria, and received his habilitation in psychology in 1989 from the University of Linz, Austria.

He is professor i.R. of economic psychology at the University of Vienna, guest professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS). His research focus is on financial decision making and taxpayer behavior.

Recent books are „The Economic Psychology of Tax Behaviour“ (CUP-2007), “Economic Psychology”, with Erik Hoelzl (CUP-2018), “Psychology in Times of Crises”, with Julia Pitters and Barbara Kastlunger (Spriger-2022).
