The Commission is taking action to tackle risks stemming from low-value imports sold via non-EU online retailers and marketplaces hosting non-EU traders.

The EU-Chile Interim Trade Agreement (ITA) will enter into force on 1 February 2025, replacing the previous EU-Chile Association Agreement. 

As of 1 February 2025, Georgia will become the latest country to join the Common Transit Convention and the Convention on the Simplification of Formalities in Trade in Goods.

29 countries (Member States and other countries which are part of the Common Transit Convention) have deployed the new phase 5 of NCTS and in all countries the operations are running smoothly.
